Dr. Ron Wang, a Ph.D from University of Iowa, has helped through Gulf coast Chinese-American Association to be of assistance to the victims of the earthquake in China.
“Out of all this terrible thing, there is something to be gained: That is what I wish for.” He says.
Gulf coast Chinese-American Association has raised almost $8,000 for the necessary things that the victims will need in order to survive…

Last June 1, 2008, Sunday Yao ming celebrates the Children’s Day with the kids in China while in the U.S.A. He celebrated it through a telephone conversation with. They had a long chat and the kids were actually asking questions to him.
The questions and topics are limited during the conversation and the kids can ask whatever they ask. At the end of the talk Yao told the kids to be brave and to have more patience, and a necessity in everyday life is hard work in order to see good results.

Victims of the recent earthquake in Sichuan province, China are receiving more and more donations and money for their needs. Lansing Chinese-American Association had prayers and rallies in order to raise funds for the victim.
All of it the funds and other things that the association are getting from their prayers and rallies will be going to the victims of the quake.

According to news reports, Bruce Lee’s former house in Hong Kong will be sold to raise funds to help the victims of the earthquake in China.
Is a two-storey house at Kowloon Tong where Bruce Lee spent his last years before his mysterious death in 1973. The house will be arranged for selling by an 86 year old philanthropist named Yu.

Asian-American Chamber of Commerce in Stockton, Central Valley will be celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage. They will be doing it Lotus celebration, like what they are doing annually.
They will also be distinguishing the contributions from the three Asian organizations in their community. These are Chinese Cultural Society of Stockton, Japanese American Citizens League, and Filipino American National Historical Society.

any dollar bill, drawing everyone’s attention.

by local Asian restaurants.

Kings Bay had celebrated Asian Pacific Heritage month last may 23 at the Kings Bay Chapel and Fellowship Hall.
During the celebration they had food tasting, dancing, awarding and many more. There are different kinds of food that are served like Filipino, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese. The dancers include students from Camden County High School and Jacksonville; they performed some dances from the Philippines like Tinilking and Cariñosa.

Already acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Record; the biggest Chinese Restaurant in the world, which is called West Lake Restaurant located at Hunanese town in Changsha.
It is composed of 300 cooks, small mass of waiter and waitresses and identified by their separate uniforms. And they also have their signature food which is the fried-live fish.

Asian-American plastic surgeon Dr. Hugh Vu of Central Valley was voted the number one plastic surgeon in their place.
He specializes into reconstructive surgery. He intends to have a medical mission in Asia specifically in the Philippines and Vietnam, sponsored by Rotoplast. “There are a lot of people trying to get in it because it’s a lot of cash — money drives it, Vu said

Yao Ming is very worried and sad about what happened to the people in Sichuan, China when the earthquake occurred.
He wakes up every morning going straight away to his computer to check on updates for about the tragedy. He was at the press conference in promotion with Coca-Cola when he told that story. He already has given $290,000 and had made a commercial announcement urging the people to lend a hand to those victims in the China earthquake.
