Asian Heritage Month: “Mayor of Mosel Avenue” Helps Chinese Neighbors Stay Safe
Staten Island’s Mosel Avenue Mayor George Lee is in the action. He has been helping his people from some situations that make them afraid.
Chinese Americans are bothered by what is happening in their neighborhood, especially under Staten Island’s Expressway Overpass. There have been crimes like hitting and stealing of things.
Authorities believed that these crimes are happening by chance and not bias related, but that didn’t decrease the fear of the people.
Lee has many plans for the neighborhood in order to bring them to safety. He has ideas of building supermarkets and other necessary establishments, so that the people would not be traveling just to by things they need.
