Chinese Americans in Washington donate nearly $300,000 to quake-hit homeland
Chinese-Americans have donated almost $300,000 for the survivors of the destructive earthquake in China as of May 18.
The Chinese Embassy to the United States has been busy since the tragedy. They build up an emergency management system and a 24-hour hotline for those who would call for donations.
