Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans names winners of prestigious annual awards
Minnesotans Sri Lanka Foundation received an award for the good job they have done. One of the projects they had was the Boxing Day Tsunami Sri Lanka. The foundation is not just for recognizing the needs of the victims of tsunami, but to raise funds for them and help people find new living.
“If you can spread global language, English, in Sri Lanka, it will help build a relationship between the communities,” Lal said. “I think, in the long run, education is the key to solving this problem.”
Mr. Liyanapathiranange, Srilal or Lal is the CEO of the Minnesota Sri Lanka Friendship Foundation.
