“Person of interest” arrested in hate crime stabbing

Aaron Duggan, 27, of Bakersfield was suspected as the “person of interest” for a hate crime stabbing of a 22-year-old Asian man last Tuesday. Authorities arrested Dugan on a parole violation the next day.

After the said incident, another 15-year-old suspect from the San Gabriel Valley was arrested for stabbing.
The two residents of the area, one was described Asian and the other as a “White man”, was believed to be attacked using a knife. During the attack, the stabber was heard shouting racial epithets thus relating to it as a hate crime.
