Police seek suspect in third armed robbery at UT

Third incident of robbery involving Asian students was reported at The University of Texas. The suspect described as a male standing 6 feet tall with a medium to muscular build was said to be wearing a mask and gloves and a brandishing weapon. He approaches students who walk alone and got away with cash and credit cards. The robbery at the Taylor Hall which happened on Monday, April 21 between 5:30 – 6 pm, was a precedent to two other robberies at the Robert Lee Moore Hall and the Music Recital Hall, which are all located at the northern section of the campus.

The police are now tracing the credit card transactions but whether the suspect is a student or not, the police still has to find out. They released precautions to students to always stay on groups or lock themselves in rooms whenever possible, stay in a well-lighted place or call the police dept for a sure walk escort or to report any suspicious activity.
