Anniversaries: 10 and 30
The month April marks Phil Tajitsu Nash’s 10th year as an AsianWeek columnist and his 30th year as a regular contributor to Asian Pacific American community journalism. His article describes how many young Japanese Americans, including himself, were trying to fit into an American mainstream and he hopes to highlight some of the people, remember some of the events, and pay tribute to a community that has come a long way in 30 years.
