Asian-Americans protest drowning as a hate crime
CHICAGO (AP) - Members of various Chicago Asian-American groups held a vigil yesterday at Montrose Harbor on the city’s lakefront for a Vietnamese immigrant who was pushed into Lake Michigan and drowned.

tell me about it… all these random hate crimes. there is no way the authorities can say that these atrocities weren’t spurred by racism, yet they still do. the perpetrators just saw their asian appearance and decided to hurt them. how is that not a hate crime?
