Action Alert: Court Date Set (11/8/07) For Assailants In Race-Hate Beating in Chinatown, New York City
The following is an update to this story.
 Scale 4 Physical Attack: The majority group vandalize minority group things, they burn property and carry out violent attacks on individuals or groups. Physical harm is done to members of the minority group. Examples: lynchings of blacks, pogroms against Jews in Europe, tarring and feathering Mormons in the 1800s. |
Michael Ostrosky and Steven Sackaris, both age 22 were arrested on hate crimes charges of aggravated assault, assault in the 2nd degree and menacing in the 3rd degree for a racially-motivated hate crime attack on two Asian American men on July 2, 2007. Both men are out on bail and are scheduled to appear in court on November 8, 2007 in New York City.
Save the date: 11/8/07. It is imperative that the Asian American community PACK the court house on this date. This will send a strong signal to the District Attorney’s office and to the judge that this is an issue we are closely watching. Can Chinese parents start making their kids take martial arts lessons instead of piano or violin???

Chinese kids DO take martial arts. But unlike morons, we don’t go around beating up random people.
