Race-Hate Beating in Chinatown, New York City

Three white youths, two male and one female, are suspected of using prejudicial and offensive vocabulary in the beating of two Chinese American youths in Chinatown on July 2.
The 5th Police Precinct said that the incident took place around 6:50 p.m. The three suspects were driving down Canal Street in a Nissan, going toward Manhattan Bridge. As they passed Baxter Street, the white male in the front passenger seat yelled out to one Mr. Cheng, 24, “F***ing c****, go back to your country!” Mr. Cheng replied, “F*** you, white trash.”
At the intersection of Canal and Baxter streets, the assailants got out of their car and attacked Mr. Cheng and Mr. Jia, another 24-year-old Chinese American, along with several bystanders. The white youths beat Mr. Cheng and Mr. Jia’s faces and pushed the two onto the ground. Police say Mr. Cheng and Mr. Jia did not know each other.
The suspects fled the scene afterward. An ambulance came, but the victims needed no medical attention. Police have already filed this case with the hate-crimes task force. No arrests have yet been made. This is the first hate crime in Chinatown this
year.
Upon investigation, the car license plates were found to belong to a 53-year-old male by the last name of Cordillo who lives in the Bronx.
One of the white men is around 20 years of age, 5′10″, about 180 lbs. The other is about 25-30 years of age, 5′11″, wearing Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.

You know what pukebreth, its sad to say but I thought the same thing but they are not cowards. But you have to see it in another way, It is just because they struggled so hard to survive here, its not worth it to sacrifice their life. They have families to worry about. Also, it was said that the guy had a gun but I don’t know how much of it is true. In the Chinese newspaper today, they have caught the two white men but I don’t know what else is going to happen. There is no big dilemna with it in American newspapers or anything.

No actually you’re getting more and more Asians in media and commercials because America wants Asian business. When it comes to addressing things like this, Asians neither have the influence nor the voice to bring racial crimes to the forefront. Instead America licks the behinds of African-Americans and Latino-Americans simply because they are too afraid of them. They are too powerful, too fierce and too strong. One false move and things will burn. Look at the riots in Crown Heights, Watts, LA, etc etc. Violent indeed, yet highly effective. Need I say more? Asians are just punching bags for people to pick on and they are viewed as nothing to the public. That’s why stories like this are just a blip in the pages of your local paper.

what chinese women?? what’re you talkin about? There was no report of chinese women. Even so, I have a hard time believing chinese women would simply mouth off at someone, but let’s say for the benefit of the doubt they did. Would they get racist from the get-go? No, experience tells me the pieces of garbage driving the Nissan were the ones that would say something racist from the get-go. Not the other way around.
I wasn’t born yesterday. I’ve seen and been through very similar situations and 10 times out of 10, the other person initiates the racist comments.

Tons of eyewitnesses to corroborate the story and the bruises and beatings to show for it. Need we say more? Do I have to get out some stupid charts and graphs and draw it all out for you Bonnie? The moment you leave the car and assault someone that’s a felony right there. People watched and heard the racist diatribe so now it’s a hate crime. They’re not deaf ok. Cops are trained experts, trained to interrogate and assess the situation.
Cops don’t just arrest you for fun, they must have a very persuasive and convincing reason for doing so.
