EDWARDS STATEMENT ON DEROGATORY RADIO SKIT BY WFNY RADIO HOSTS

Chapel Hill, North Carolina - Senator John Edwards released the
following statement condemning the recent radio segment of WFNY radio
hosts Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay, which included derogatory comments
directed at women and the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.

“The recent radio skit of these two hosts was beyond disgusting. As
individuals and as a nation, we have to condemn this kind of language -
there is just no place for it in our public dialogue.

“This radio skit and Don Imus’ recent comments show that our country is
long overdue for a national dialogue about race, gender, class and what
is acceptable in our public discourse. When we tolerate this kind of
language, we are essentially sowing the seeds of intolerance. All of us
have an obligation to speak out and condemn this kind of language when
it’s used, no matter who uses it. Together, we can change the dialogue
in our nation and more importantly, we can work together to end
inequality.”

Paid for by John Edwards for President.

Of course a p***y liberal who wants everyone to play nice… You think this guy actually gives a s**t about your cause? All he wants is more votes.

So you guys like Elvis Duran and the Z morning Zoo?

Or do you prefer “PLJ” with Scott and Todd in the morning… Always up beat, cheery and FAKE.

Bland bland bland…blah blah blah, You know you might want to go after Hot97, Power 105, WBLS, Opie and ANthony, Nick Dipaolo, Ron and Fez, Radio Chick, Jersey guys… And pretty much every other talk radio show in the country. I mean if you are going to decide what everyone gets to listen to then atleast get everyone kicked off so we can get are moneys worth when they go on Sirius with Stern…. Oh yeah get Stern thrown out too, hes offended plenty.

where are the inbred whiteys now?

regardless of whether this dude’s looking for asian votes or not, it’s still a righteous white guy who gets it and knows that racism have “no place for it in our public dialogue.”

(but if it makes your wonder if he calls his asian wife spicy asian things in behind closed doors? racists are usually like that.)

Jeez. lol. Go read a book, talk a walk in the park or something. Don’t you get tired of hacks on the radio who regurgigate the same crap? It’s not so “edgy” when you consciously market yourself as “edgy.” I blame Stern for spawning a bunch of no-talents wanting in on the “controversy.”

Let me let you in on a little secret. They’re ALL fake! Grow up.

And Stern and his lackies should retire. He’s not 52 anymore.

The only funny thing about this incident is that little j**k-offs get to feel self-righteous on the DogHouse (G**! that name!) forum because they convinced themselves that they’re in a battle against communists who wanna take away free speech.

John has about as much of a chance as Danny Devito. Thank you “come again.”

Uh, oh. Call some group on me that was “insensitive”.

Say what ever you want about Stern but if he was on the Radio RIGHT NOW, he would still be the number 1 in America, Opie and Anthony another show you would call a “spawn,” have dominated radio waves, Jv and Elvis same thing- have also dominated radio waves.

Your whole argument on “edgy” is bulls**t, because who even decides what is edgy, its nothing more than a marketing tool, same as shock jock… What you find shocking- I dunno maybe a Sesame Street episode or Spongebob, is just a tad bit different then what I find “edgy” so that is pretty much a bulls**t argument.

And as for “hacky” radio shows, every show that no group could find something to be offended by is the hackiest of them all. “HI THIS IS JOHNNY AND JERRY HOWWWW YAA DOING THIS IS THE MORNING ZOO RADIO, HERE’S JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.”
Oh god, keep whining and getting radio shows kicked off and we will all have to deal with “johnny and jerry.” Good thing I have my ipod.

“jeez go read a book or do somethin” Actually I box everyday, play basketball every weekend, have a 9-5 job, and read every night..(Culture Warrior by Bill O’Reilly is my latest I suggest you people read a few pages of it.)

I’ll finish with that, besides, I’m sure you are off walking in the park anyway.

speaking of howard stern, this is the racist hypocrisy and double standard that exists.

if you’ll remember arthur lien was interviewed on howard stern and was called all sorts of offensive racial epitets and goading him. so when arthur finally couldn’t take it and asked if howard stern like mazo balls, stern called arthur lien an anti-semite.

arthur lien was fired while stern kept on his racist shows.

therefore, the whitey racists have no say in these matters what’s racist and what’s not.

Although I personally still support Sen. Barack Obama for 2008, it is interesting to note that Senator Edwards was not only eager to reach out to the Asian American community, but Edwards was the only presidential candidate to issue a statement regarding the JV&Elvis anti-A….
