JV & Elvis Racist Audio Clip #3 - Mock Korean Accents Are Hysterical!

Soon joining Imus on the unemployment line:
Jeff Vandergrift (”JV”) (l.) and Dan Lay (”Elvis”)
The following racist radio segment was downloaded from JV (a.k.a. Jeff Vandergrift) & Elvis’ (a.k.a. Dan Lay) official website on Monday, April 22, 2007.
As of April 26, 2007, the segment has mysteriously disappeared from the page where it was originally located (http://podcast.923freefm.com/wfny/411933.mp3), ).
An admission of guilt? You be the judge.
Please also note that this short clip (taken from their three-hour program) was posted as a podcast on their website. In other words, these two jackasses were so proud of this segment that they were using it to represent and promote their lame show.
After conducting some research on Mr. Vandergrift and Mr. Lay’s program, it appears that this recent prank call wasn’t the first time they have degraded Asian women and the Asian American community. In addition to frequently discussing Asian massage parlors, during the April 19, 2007 show, the duo used a mock Korean accent to “recreate” Seung Hui Cho’s confession tape while also tossing in a variety of stereotypical non-sequiturs (”you rike a fortune cookie?” and “no tickey, no raun-ree”, among others), which inadvertently and carelessly implicates all Asians in Cho’s lone horrendous act.

Why not bring more Asian American pop artists into the mainstream?
NBC’s Today Show has their concert series running most of the year, yet I’ve never seen an Asian performer on it.
Wang Lee Hom, Jolin Tsai and Jay Chou are international pop superstarts; they could be the U.S.’s first crossover artists (maybe singing in both Chinese and English).
If it worked for Shakira, why can’t it work for Wang Lee Hom or Jay Chou?

so they are racist for making fun of someone in the news who is of that decent? once again, every race gets made fun of on public radio and there is a double standard and was before Imus/Sharpton, so stop trying to say if CBS doesnt fire the DH there will be a double standard.
how come fat people aren’t upset when they call Erica fat and make fun of her weight? or why aren’t gays upset when they poke fun at Rudy being gay(bi-sexual)? it is because people know this is a COMEDY show, not a political hate speech filled show with a purpose of spreading asian hate.
it is sad that we have soldiers dying for our RIGHTS now and in the past. they are dying so people can not be control and told what to listen to and what to not listen too. if people think the DH is racist then they will stop listening and they will get fired because of low ratings. you have no case here, it is sad that you want to stand out like this because i can guarantee that there will be more hate towards this group now because of this stink you guys are making.

Well… as a korean myself…and a soldier in the US military, I can tell you where I stand on this. This is absolutely retarded. I also love how people continuously bring up the whole freedom of speech argument. Before you just blurt out freedom of speech to justify racism, try reading an intro to law book. Hell, google it. While we all have freedom of speech, we don’t have the right to infringe on other citizens’ rights.
That being said, do note that I do not condone racism of any kind whether it concerns asians, blacks, whites, hispanics, etc. Hell, take that time and that effort used to make fun of each other and try to address our nations problems. Instead of calling each other racial slurs, use that energy to address and help stop little 5 year old girls from being raped everyday, domestic violence, juvenile delinquency.
Surely there are better things that we as Americans can be worrying about.

I pretty much summed up the fact that most DOGHOUSE SUPPORTERS are: People who immencely enjoys watching, reading or hearing various sorts of vicious attacks toward other human kinds of any race, beliefs, lifestyle and sex, so long as they themselves are not the target. They’re usually at the sidelines cheering on the attackers, but prefer to remained anonymous. But when targeted by others themselves, they’ll fight claws and nails demanding retribution in the name of fairness, equality and justice, even though they’ve just told other victims of attacks that pain is just a part of our “freedom” and that we all should take a “chill pill” and swallow that pain. Radio shows like Doghouse are very much their prime source of entertainment in their otherwise extremely dull life of pretending to be a decent human being, they enjoy these shows immensely because it represents the unleashing of their real hidden self and the similar actions they would’ve taken with enough courage,(or if society doesn’t deem it criminal). Therefore if we remove these shows from their lives we severely damage their ego and the power they imagine they have to hurt other human beings without redemption that only exists in their fabulous world. Sooooo, Hell yeah they’ll fight to keep Doghouse on without conscience. I would to if I wasn’t born with one.

I ask every one to please watch you TV and watch all the Sitcoms and see how the white male father is portrayed. They are portrayed as stupid, silly, and unable to solve simple problems. We always need the woman to come fix things. Family Guy, and the Simpsons are perfect examples. Do you know what I do when I see those things?? I laugh and get the hell over it. I suggest you try to do the same.
I guess the people that run this website have no problems with people discussing the fact that Asians, Koreans in specific, are tight communities?? How about Children of Koreans do well in school and are brought up in a household that values education more so than most Americans??
I guess those are okay, because I heard everybody say that ofter this incident, and all those people are still on the air. Take the good with the bad. It’s a joke.
And to the Asian American(why do you separate yourself??? Why can’t you just be an American???) soldier(Even thought I have other opinions than you, I do thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country), making fun of you does not infringe on your rights!!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT BE OFFENDED!!!!!! You may want to open a law book.
Thnk you.

well, pop quiz for all the inb**d numbnuts: for all them sitcoms depicting white males with unlikely hot white females, what ethnicities are the writers, directors and producers and other people who give them the media time?
(you don’t need to think more than 5 seconds on this one.)
we’d have no problems if it were asians who make racist asian content, because we’d be going after these sellouts instead. however, the doghouse broadcasters are racists without any knowledge or care about the asian community and that’s the problem.
while i don’t condone use of the “n” word, there’s a reason why a black guy can say it to another black guy and why white dudes can’t say it to a black guy.
get your racial thoughts in check before you make any more stupid comments.

Those portrayals are written by white men, produced by white men, and funded by companies run by white men in a country where the majority of politicians and leaders are white men.
It’s people like you who are making portrayals of people like you. It’s a world of difference when you’re talking about a portrayal made by the more powerful majority race against a racial minority which doesn’t have the power to control its representation in the media.

oh my god, they are so biased against guys with foreskin in this clip. this is so against my culture of being uncut, i feel so violated and abused.
for gods sake people, grow a comedy backbone. its all fine to make fun of white people for every problem around (which is funny as a “whitey” - an ok phrase to use, although racist), but the minute anyone mentions anything outside this it time to throw in the race card. just for making fun of the pronouncation of people, now we’re gonna censor? where do you draw the line with this? can comedians not impersonate people from the south, or from britain, or from france? isnt that also racism?
grow up folks

where do they get these inbreds from? making fun of br**s, fr**chies? last time i checked, what was the majority race of these countries?
while certain white males think they’re targeted by people of color and that PoC have a “race card” shield, but the reality is that overwhelmingly racism is directed by whitey against PoC.

What has happened to america? When have we become a nation that punished free speech?
I am an Asian American, and i dont take this as an insult. In fact, i find it quite funny. We as a nation need to learn how to laugh at ourselves evey once in a while. I know that other Asians out there may think im a “self hating Asian” and say that i need to have some pride for my race. For those who think that, i am very proud of my race and that is why im posting my comments. The reason i can laugh at this is because i know that there is truth in what he said. We do have problem prenouncing our “r”s and many of us do work in chinese restaurants or laundry mats. What we as people need to understand is that we are Americans first, then Asians. We need to embrace our good qualitys and bad qualities in order for us to understand who we are. Comedy is one of the only outlets that can still be used as a freedom of expressing ourselves. Just because someone mad an “anti-asian” joke dosent mean they need to be fired. We take those jokes and laugh along, because we are the ones who realy know how true it is. For some of you, it is too much truth to handle. For me, its a glimpse in the mind of every non asian, to see what we are seen as.
Remember people, jokes are suppose to be insulting. They are made to poke fun at peoples faults, and thats what makes them funny. If you have ever laughed during an episode of Chappeles show, or chuckled while watching Richard Priors standup act, then you have no right to complain. The way i see it, if you can laugh at someone else, you better be able to laugh at yourself.

this would be funny if it didnt deal with a mass murderer. or if in fact cho was actually alive. why would you insult and make fun of a dead person? its disrespectful and wrong. also making fun/joking about someone between friends/family is understandable and humorous i think. why not have a little fun with friends. but public radio where a whole city, state or even country can hear it is plain stupidity. you cant cuss on the radio. why would these idiots air their bullshit asian racism? plus their korean accent sounds like all the other asian accents. atleast they can make it funny by matching the accents. they just sound like white people trying to make fun of a group of cultures they have no idea about.
